Option #1
Get a 9” rectangle book or cardboard and wrap yarn around it 5 times, cut the bottom edge of the yarn along the bottom of the cardboard. With a separate piece of yarn, tie all the strands together at the top of the cardboard. Then take a separate yarn piece and knot it an inch down from the top of the tassel, tuck the extra yarn into the tassel. Comb out or separate the hanging strands.
Option #2
Set your Tassel Maker to 9” tall and wrap yarn around it 5 times. With a separate piece of yarn, tie all the strands together through the middle of the yarn. Cut the yarn at the bottom and the top of the tassel maker. Then take a separate yarn piece and knot it an inch down from the top of the tassel, tuck the extra yarn into the tassel. Comb out or separate the hanging strands.
Finishing the Tassel Basket
Attach the tassels on the ridge that your hdc 3rd loop made every 10 stitches apart. Wrap the yarn from the original knot of the tassel around and tie a knot on the back.
