The SECRET to perfect Pom Poms everytime!
In this super easy and beginner friendly yarn pom pom tutorial I will show you the EASIEST way to make 6 yarn pom poms at ONCE. This is a VERY beginner friendly DIY tutorial, and would be a great summertime project for you and your kiddos! These easy mini pom poms can be used to embellish anything from home decor, to your favorite backpack or beanie!

Materials Needed for making pom poms:
Yarn Used: –Premier Basix Worsted in the color Steel
Scissors
Zip Ties
Steps to making the perfect yarn pom pom everytime!
STEP 1: Turn a chair over on its tops ide, so the chair legs are in the air (legs should preferably be thin or narrow)
STEP 2: Wrap yarn around 2 of the legs, 75 times
STEP 3: Place a zip tie (2.5mm W x 6in L) in the middle of your yarn. With the flat side of the zip tie facing you and on the far side of the yarn, wrap the zip tie around the yarn by threading in the end of the zip tie and pull tight.
STEP 4: Place the zip ties 2″ apart on your yarn.
STEP 5: Cut the yarn in-between each zip tie. Continue to tighten the zip ties as you go.
STEP 6: Cut out two, 1.75 diameter circles of cardboard, and puncture a hole in the middle of your circles.
STEP 7: Put the zip tie stem through the hole in the center of your first cardboard circle, and place the second cardboard circle on top of the pom to make it like a pom pom sandwich.
STEP 8: Trim the excess yarn around the cardboard sandwich.
STEP 9: Take your pom and turn it 90 degrees, so the zip tie is sticking out perpendicular to your sandwich, and trim the other angle.
STEP 10: Take cardboard off and fluff your new pom pom.
